Refund & Returns Policy

(Last updated: 26 March 2026)

1. General policy

Because BabySTA is a baby oral-use product, hygiene and product safety are especially important. This policy explains when returns, replacements, and refunds may apply.

Unless otherwise required by law:

• we do not accept returns for change of mind;

• we do not accept returns of products that have been opened, used, or compromised from a hygiene perspective;

• we do not offer general exchanges; and

• our standard remedy for valid claims is replacement of the product.

Because BabySTA is an oral-use baby product, hygiene considerations are central to this policy.

2. Inspect your order on delivery

Please inspect your order as soon as it is delivered.

You must report any of the following within 48 hours of delivery: product damage in transit, receipt of the wrong item, or an apparent defect present on delivery.

To report an issue, email info@babysta.co.za with your order number, a short description of the issue, and clear photographs of the product, the packaging, and any visible damage or defect.

3. Damaged in transit

If your order arrives damaged in transit, we may require clear photographs of the product and packaging, retention of the packaging for courier inspection, and return of the item where reasonably necessary.

If the claim is valid, we will arrange a replacement product.

4. Wrong item supplied

If we have supplied the wrong item, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery.

If the claim is confirmed, we will arrange to provide the correct item and, where necessary, arrange return instructions for the incorrectly supplied product.

5. Defective product

If you believe the product is defective, please contact us at info@babysta.co.za as soon as reasonably possible.

We may ask for photographs, a description of the issue, confirmation that the product was used as instructed, and return of the product for inspection where reasonably necessary.

If the claim is found to be valid, our standard remedy will be a replacement product, unless another remedy is required by law.

6. Products that are not eligible for return

We will generally not accept returns where:

• the item has been opened and used;

• the item has been compromised from a hygiene perspective;

• the issue arises from misuse, mishandling, or failure to follow product instructions;

• the product has been used outside the recommended age range of 0 to 6 months;

• the product was used without adult supervision; or

• the product continued to be used after visible damage or deterioration was noticed.

7. Shipping charges

Shipping charges are generally not refundable, except where we supplied the wrong item, the issue arose from our error, or a refund of shipping charges is otherwise required by law.

Where a valid claim results in a replacement, we will handle the replacement-shipping arrangement as appropriate to the claim.

8. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law.

Where goods are unsafe, defective, or fail to meet the standards required by law, consumers may have statutory remedies in terms of the Consumer Protection Act.
